Women create monsters

In Ambrose Paré it is discussed that women are responsible for creating monsters. We've seen this reoccurring theme throughout the semester in which women are indirectly responsible for men giving birth to monsters. This article states that women can give birth to monsters if 1. they imagine a monster or a creature during labor or 2. if their womb is too narrow. I found an article online that talks about these ideas and explains them more in depth. It is about a female artist who photographed a cancer patient that was undergoing treatment. She distorted the patient's looks and wrote "monster" across her hospital robe. Why was this? and why did she choose a female patient?
